The War Memorial Center invites students and educators to join us for our Service Experience Day – an immersive event where students will discover the history of the WMC, learn about our mission, and connect with the stories of Wisconsin’s service members.
Students will explore interactive display stations featuring service members, military equipment, activities, and educational materials. They’ll have the chance to engage directly with current and former military personnel, ask questions, and gain meaningful insight into the experiences of those who served.

Join us for an immersive learning experience that brings to life the history, symbolism, and mission of the War Memorial Center, as well as the stories of Wisconsin’s service members. Students will explore display stations staffed by soldiers and veterans, interact with real equipment, and take part in activities designed to spark curiosity and conversation.
The War Memorial Center is proud to create a space where veterans and active-duty service members can share their powerful stories with students from across our community. Veterans are invited to bring meaningful items from their service such as photos, letters, awards, or uniforms to help bring your experiences to life for the students. We encourage you to speak with students about your military journey.
