Veterans are welcome to bring items from service for students to look at: photos, letters, documents, books, awards, or even your uniform.

Veterans are encouraged to speak and share their background and experience with students and are invited to enjoy the exhibits and activities throughout the WMC before, during, and after this event.

We hope you are able to volunteer your time, experience, and background for this amazing, educational outreach opportunity.

Let us know the Service Experience Day date that is best for you and let us know if you are interested in the coaching session.

Volunteers

The War Memorial Center educational program, “Service Experience Day,” relies on the help of volunteers. They are needed to greet school buses, direct groups to the right place, monitor stations, and provide basic information. When you aren’t doing these things, you are invited to enjoy the programs!

This is a really fun experience and a rewarding opportunity with the chance to meet many local veterans, current military, and make sure our student and visitors have a great experience.
