Women In War Series Wraps
More than 150 turned out for the final installment of the Women in War series, the screening of the documentary The Hello Girls.
Director, Racine native and veteran Jim Theres, came in from Washington, D.C., for the preview and answered questions afterward along with Elisabeth Goessling, a descendant of a female WWI Signal Corps veteran, in a session moderated by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Meg Jones.
A Piece of My Heart Performances Well Received
Over its seven-performance run at the War Memorial Center, the Vietnam War play A Piece of My Heart drew 250 attendees.
The run opened with the WMC education program preview of the play, followed by a panel discussion with three female Vietnam veterans, Mary Jo Mance, Linda McLenahan and Ruby Scheuing.
