Sneak Peak: Operation Renew
Since its construction in 1957, The Milwaukee County War Memorial Center has become an important Milwaukee Landmark, and remains a testament to the architectural vision of renowned Architect Eero Saarinen. Over many years, however, the War Memorial Center has fallen into an unacceptable state of disrepair. With Milwaukee County being unable to adequately fund the repair and maintenance needs of the building, Operation Renew was commenced to raise necessary funding to restore the general physical aspects of the Veterans Courtyard while enhancing its many accompanying features.
Proper funding will allow us to implement the breathtaking enhancements to the existing facility as shown in the following project renderings from Eppstein Uhen Architects. For more information on how you can support the initiative, please visit the Operation Renew section of the WMC Web site.
