Our sixth annual field of flags brings
together hundreds of volunteers and
thousands of spectators to take in
the sight of 27,316 American flags
in perfect alignment in Veterans
Park. Each flag represents a person
— a Wisconsinite — who made the
ultimate sacrifice from the Civil War
until today. Every Memorial Day, we
build the Field of Flags as a visual
reminder of the price of freedom.
